House of Morrow is a local fund under the Emporia Community Foundation nonprofit founded in Emporia, KS, primarily aiming to promote public arts and services in the Emporia community.

Our Mission: To strengthen underserved communities in the Emporia area through the cultivation of public arts and services.

Deon Morrow and the Board of Directors formed House of Morrow on February 20, 2023 to cultivate the arts and celebrate cultures in underserved communities through youth programming and public services. We aim to make artistic freedom and expression accessible to everyone and to grow our community with diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Our Volunteer-led team is dedicated to serving the Emporia community and creating innovative strategies to empower local talent and inspire future Kansas artists. Join us as we literally paint the town and make a positive lasting impact on the place we call home.

BEWITCHING EMPORIA IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN

This Halloween, Drag is Art returns for another evening celebrating the art, expression, and community that make House of Morrow’s work possible.

We’re excited to bring this year’s event to Good Way Gardens, whose generous support as a partner is helping make Drag is Art possible. Their donation of the event space allows more of this fundraiser’s proceeds to directly support House of Morrow’s programs and mission.

As part of Match Day, this year’s Drag is Art will help raise funds to strengthen access to the arts and create opportunities for connection and expression throughout our community.
