Overview:
The grant committee researches and reviews available grants to support House of Morrow’s mission. The grant committee writes and submits responses to grant opportunities. The grant committee is also responsible for reporting back to the grant organization/institution after the completion of the grant requirements.
Responsibilities:
Research and review available and relevant grants.
Write grant applications in response to grant requirements.
Fulfill grant requirements.
Report back to grant organizations/institutions about the use of the grant and success of the project/program.

Overview:
Oversees the organization’s financial health by developing budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. We also provides strategic financial guidance to support House of Morrow’s mission and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Develop and recommend the annual budget to the board, and regularly monitor financial performance against that budget.
Review financial statements, oversee internal controls, and ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements.
Provide financial insight and analysis to support the board’s strategic vision, helping evaluate new initiatives, programs, and growth opportunities for long-term sustainability.

Overview:
The Communications Committee provides strategic guidance and oversight to support the visibility, reputation, and community presence of House of Morrow. The Committee helps ensure that communications efforts align with the organization’s mission, values, and long-term goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic input on the overall direction and messaging priorities of House of Morrow’s communications efforts, including social media, website, and community outreach presence.
Serve as ambassadors for House of Morrow by amplifying approved communications within their networks and community circles.
Support awareness efforts by assisting with the distribution of outreach materials, both digitally and in physical formats.
Offer feedback on major campaigns, public messaging initiatives, or significant communications strategies when requested.
Collaborate with and advise the Communications Liaison in strengthening the organization’s overall visibility and community reach.

Overview:
This committee collaborates to plan and execute events that celebrate creativity, inclusivity, and community engagement, from youth arts initiatives and literary programs to public art and cultural fundraisers. With creativity, organization, and community at its core, the Event Committee ensures House of Morrow events inspire connection, amplify local voices, and support the organization’s goal of making artistic expression accessible to all.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Logistics: Develop event goals, timelines, budgets, and agenda plans for events; secure venues, vendors, permits, and necessary equipment.
Programming & Content Development: Curate themes, speakers, performers, or activities that align with House of Morrow’s mission and audience needs.
On-Site Coordination & Evaluation: Oversee event-day operations, manage volunteers, troubleshoot issues, and conduct post-event assessment to improve future programming.
